Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training & Certification
Length of Course: 4 hours
What can you do in the event you witness someone go into sudden cardiac arrest?
RTSP and Train to Respond are working together to help you prepare to aid your loved ones, coworkers, friends or fellow citizens in the event they suffer from sudden cardiac arrest – that can happen at ANY time!
This 4 hour class will train you how to react in the event you witness someone go into sudden cardiac arrest. You will receive classroom training, practice on CPR manikins and experience real life scenarios. At the end of the course, you will be certified in CPR by the National Safety Council, a nationwide recognized organization.
The course will go over the most important aspects of CPR: what you need to do to get help on the way, what an AED is and why you need to know how to use it, and what equipment is good to carry with you or have in your vehicle in the event you witness someone go into cardiac arrest. Did you know that 88% of all cardiac arrests happen at home? Sadly, because most people are not CPR trained, no intervention is started and by the time emergency services arrive, it is too late!
Everyone can be proactive and learn this lifesaving skill, instead of being unprepared and a helpless bystander simply by learning the basics of CPR. Remember that emergency services won’t be able to get to you within the critical first 4 minutes of cardiac arrest, so you must be ready to react and initiate CPR if you want your loved one to have a chance of surviving. Without CPR, your loved one has a 100% chance they will die! Initiating CPR can increase the chance of survival dramatically!
In this class, you will learn the basics of adult cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and how you can remain calm, react and aid until help arrives and much more.
The class is taught by Laura Kendall who is a paramedic with over 29 years of experience, former state certified police instructor as well as the owner and founder of Train to Respond. You will practice with a protective barrier device and course workbook supplied by Train to Respond. Mini rescue CPR mask/key chains will be available for purchase.
Class is limited to 10 people. So don’t wait to learn this valuable skill. You may just save the life of someone you love!
