Frequently Asked Questions
How old do I have to be to shoot at the range?
You must be 18 years or older in order to rent a rifle or get a lane. If under the age of 18, you must be accompanied by an adult who is required to sign a Guardian Release. The minimum age requirement to use the range is 8 years old.
Customers must be at least 21 years old to rent a handgun – or must be accompanied by someone in their port who is 21. Individuals who are 18 years of age, but under 21, can only rent rifles unless accompanied by someone who is 21.
What are your first time shooter policies?
- All shooters who are renting must be in groups of 2 or more. No single shooters will be allowed to rent firearms. (Exceptions: Active and Retired LEO and holders of a valid state issued firearms ID card. ID must be present at the time of rental.)
- Any single first time shooters with a valid NJ Permit to Purchase a Handgun with a desire to “Test Drive” a rental can do so, but are permitted only 30 minutes of range time, up to two rentals, and an RSO will be present in the port the entire time. Price is $50 (Cost of ammo and target are not included.)
Do I need a NJ Firearms Identification Card (FID) to shoot at the range?
If you are renting a firearm in a group of two or more, a current and valid photo ID issued by the government (Driver’s License or Passport) is all that’s required to use the range. If you would like to rent a firearm by yourself, you would need to be either active or retired LEO or the holder of a valid state issued firearms ID card.
What types of ammo can I use at the range?
We allow up to .308 on the range for rifles and have no caliber restrictions on handguns. Slug only for shotguns. No armor piercing, tracer, or steel core ammunition allowed.
How long is your range?
We actually have two ranges. Range 1 is 25-yards long and consists of 9 ports. This is our rifle, shotgun, and handgun range. Range 2 is 15-yards and houses 12 ports that are rated for handgun calibers only.
