NRA First Steps Pistol

A pistol or handgun is a firearm designed to be fired from one hand. While pistols are small and compact, they can be surprisingly challenging. In this course, NRA certified instructors present lessons in general firearms safety, gun handling, the various types of pistols, the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship, various pistol firing positions, practical exercises on the firing range, cleaning, storage, and a summary of pistol sports and activities. All students receive the NRA’s The Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook. Course Goal: To teach the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and using a pistol safely.

NRA First Steps Rifle

Length of Course: 4 hours
Tuition: $185.00

NRA First Steps Rifle is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper operation of various action types. This course is a minimum of three hours long and includes classroom instruction as well as range time. Students will learn about rifle model parts and operation, ammunition, general firearms safety, gun handling, the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship, various shooting positions, practical exercises on the firing range, cleaning, storage, and a summary of rifle sports and activities.  Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting Handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and First Steps Course completion certificate.

NRA Range Safety Officer Course

Length of Course: 9 hours
Tuition: $200.00

The NRA Range Safety Officer course provides the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to successfully maintain and operate a firing line.  The Range Safety Officer course provides the necessary training for certification and issuance of the National Rifle Association Range Safety Officer credential.

NRA Basic Instructor Training Course

Length of Course: 6-8 hours
Tuition: $200.00

The NRA Basic Instructor Training Course is the prerequisite for ANY instructor rating issued by the NRA.  The B.I.T. program is a one day (6-8 hour) course in which the methods of instruction for NRA instructor courses are taught. > Read more and check available dates

NRA Certified Pistol Instructor Course

Length of Course: 2 Days (Day 1 is 4 hours, Day 2 is 7 hours)
Tuition: $200.00

The NRA Certified Pistol Instructor course is the necessary training needed to obtain credentials as an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor.  Successful candidates in the Certified Pistol program will be authorized by the National Rifle Association to conduct NRA Certified Basic Pistol, as well as NRA Certified First Steps Pistol courses.

NRA Certified Rifle Instructor Course

Length of Course: 2 Days (10 hours per day)
Tuition: $200.00

The NRA Certified Rifle Instructor course is the necessary training to obtain credentials as a certified Rifle instructor.  Successful candidates in the Certified Rifle program will be authorized by the National Rifle Association to conduct NRA Certified Basic Rifle, as well as NRA Certified First Steps Rifle courses.

NRA Certified Shotgun Instructor Course

Length of Course: 2 Days (Day 1 is 7 hours, Day 2 is 10 hours)

The NRA Certified Shotgun Instructor Course is the necessary training needed to obtain credentials as an NRA Certified Shotgun Instructor.  Successful candidates in the Certified Shotgun program will be authorized by the National Rifle Association to conduct NRA Certified Basic Shotgun, as well as NRA Certified First Steps Shotgun courses.

NRA Certified Home Firearm Safety Instructor Course

Length of Course: 2 Days (Day 1 is 4 hours, Day 2 is 6 hours)

The NRA Certified Home Firearm Safety Instructor Course is the necessary training needed to obtain credentials as a certified Home Firearm Safety Instructor.  Successful candidates in the Certified Home Firearm Safety program will be authorized by the National Rifle Association to conduct NRA Home Firearm Safety courses.
